We’ve succeeded in organizing 15 town committees throughout Vermont to secure our major party status. Now we need to recruit candidates to stand for office and get our message out to thousands of Vermonters! Since 1970 Liberty Union has been giving voters the choice to stand firmly against war, militarism, and nuclear power, while defending our civil and political rights.
Preliminary Agenda:
* Report back from International Women’s Day events
* CCTA Bus Driver Strike Solidarity
* The Eco-Socialist Coalition: System Change Not Climate Change
* Put candidates on the ballot for our primaries
* War Tax Resistance Day is April 15th. Stop the F35! Ground the drones! Convert to a peace economy now!
Directions
From the North: take exit 7 off i89 into Barre center. Take a right onto Main Street. The road will fork at a set of lights. Bear left, up Washington Street (route 302). Go straight through the lights at Hill Street, then take the next right down Freedom Way.
Take another right onto Orange Street. 43 will be on the left.
From the South: take exit 6 off i89 and follow the access road to the bottom of the hill. Take a left onto South Main Street. Follow the road until you reach a set of lights at a four way intersection just after a Cumberland Farms. Take the soft right up Hill Street. Take a right on Liberty Street and then a left on Orange Street. 43 will be on your right.
