STEPHEN KRETZMANN OF OIL CHANGE INTERNATIONAL:
HOW THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY DOMINATES OUR POLITICS
Stephen Kretzmann, who will join us via a remote link from D.C., has
worked on environmental and social issues for twenty-five years,
primarily focusing on the environmental, social, and economic impacts
of the fossil fuel industry. After working for Greenpeace and as the
environmental adviser to the late Ken Saro-Wiwa (Movement for the
Survival of the Ogoni People, Nigeria), he went on to found Oil Change
International to educate about the true impacts of fossil fuels by
conducting research and education, and organizing to strive for a
“separation of oil and state.” Steve has testified in the U.S.
Congress, authored numerous articles and reports, and is a frequent
media commentator on issues of corporate accountability, climate
change, the global fossil fuel industry, and environmental and human
rights. You can learn more at his website: www.priceofoil.org
